About

Dewdrop is a producer of fashion events, specifically fashion-forward clothing swaps, where stylish locals gather in a fun environment and swap clothes, promoting sustainable living through fashion. We give back to the community by teaming up with charitable organizations. Most of our events come with pop-up shops, where DC’s local talent gets to showcase and sell their uniquely handcrafted or handpicked wares. We also sometimes have cocktail hours, mini-fashion shows, and more—we simply like to have fun at our events.

We have a style blog, www.dewdropdc.com, dedicated to bringing you the latest in style by highlighting indie designers, vintage curators, second-hand and restyled clothing, local retailers, as well as related events in the DC area. We also highlight high fashion and the latest trends and bring them to you in an affordable and accessible way.

Kristine Thomas is the founder of Dewdrop. She grew up in Washington, DC, and moved to New York where she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She started her career in PR and event planning, where she dressed models for New York Fashion Week and organized high profile events.   Kristine then moved to San Francisco for a change of pace. There she embraced living a green, yet fashionable lifestyle, and continued her career in marketing and advertising. She’s now back to her roots in DC, and her mission is to bring the sophistication of New York and the eco-consciousness of San Francisco by means of her fashion-forward events to benefit the community and the greater good.

Kristine lives with her husband and three-year-old daughter in DC. She plans to stay in the area for a while.
